Friend or Foe?
Once, there was a
time when people of one hemisphere had no clue of the existence of people in another hemisphere. Travelers roamed in lands without boundaries and
served their stories of voyage without any censorship and sponsorship. Gun powder
which was accidentally invented at one place and was unfortunately
given better shape by people who were miles away from the place of
inception.
Agriculture almost
flourished in the same way, especially potatoes and sugarcane. What
was told at one place was almost correct in its essence at the other
place (irrespective of its geographical location). Such strong is the
power of words.
When the number system made its way to the global
trade and communication this exchange of information flourished in
such an amazing way that now hundreds of channels blaze through our daily
lives and scream and vomit information on our face. And when this
whole world is connected like a spider web, now, it has become difficult to
ascertain the truthfulness of information which has traveled through
this digital space. It can be verified, but it takes time. It can
also be perfected for its humane use but before that it gets
propagated in all the directions.
Incidence occurs
beyond the boundaries of a nation but has repel effect inside the
boundaries of nation on fragile human trust. Society which once provided for the need for the others, ends up
being mere serving sample size. Community with in a community,
statistics divide people in fragments and then these fragments are
served with the information so that they can be contained and limited
to their sample size only.
Information
providers laugh. Carrots keep swinging, Monarchs become democrats, and democracy gets labeled according to the need of establishment by feeding
information providers.
So what to do during this phenomenal exchange of information?
Keep Calm and Stay Alive!
