YOUTH AND GANDHI

Good evening,
before i start writing actually i would like clarify few things that I'm on talking on the behalf of those youth who really thinks (not the one who goes roadie, or knows fashion, more than any thing else, you can also count those youth who spends their time watching daily soaps more than anything else or the one who are in captivity of reality shows)... and youth according to me is a person with new ideas and of course ready to take toll for the things that can make change happen.. as Gandhiji was (remember the dandi march; at the age of sixty he travelled thorough 4 districts and 48 villages and lastly gathered 60,000 people on the bank of river and not because he forced someone but because he called it for the change)...
he died 62 years ago and if he was around he would be around 140 years old or so... how ever he is not with us but his ideas are and will always be (looks like ideas are thing that can retain its youthfulness for centuries).
He was manager who could make things happen. He was the leader who led by example and connected to every member of his team. most importantly he was sensitive and caring human being.
He is actually an unsurpassed inspiration. He was the true mahatma. And to us, most of us, the meaning of mahatma lies in introspection and self improvement. He practiced what he preached. he focused on the depth of contents, yet simplicity in presentation. He discussed the problems which were less glamorous but surely of high importance... He would be so proud that how much we still adore him,. Buildings, roads, banknotes, stamps so many things named after him... but does it really matters?
The nation, he wanted to be free is far away from freedom. Even after 60 years of his death our nation is considered be one of the poorest nation on the earth, which leads to several problems in education, infrastructure, health care etc (and here etc mean "the things that even i don't know" like out of 125 crore of population around 25 crore eats one a day or sometimes thrice week)
No doubts that we are developing but does this patience (or say slowness in work) or careful consideration (in other words non- stop discussion and no action) is really according to the speed that we need.
If Gandhi ji would be here, he could once gather us once again towards the greatest need (like he did years ago in dandi march).
whenever i switch on the TV i see thousands of brands poping out with the slogans that we are brands for the youth of India, sometimes youngistaan, gen x, gen y. selling soft drinks, Snickers, pizzas, clothes and sometimes underwear too for the youth to look hot as they want to fulfill the demands of youth (or say costumers demand from one of the biggest target area for their business).
India being a youth country is of the biggest myth going around right now. Of course youth spend power but to buy fizzy drinks, snickers, Sim cards, bikes and even jockeys... but can youth ask government to give tax incentives to the MN Cs to relocate jobs to the smaller town? or can youth get any college opened?
If gandhi ji could come down he could unite us. He used festivals as public awareness campaign and propagated his cause. He wonderfully understood that people need entertainment to bind them i wish we could unite the unite the youth in the same way. well, its a difficult task, 125 crore population 125 crore thoughts (or say different sates different ideas, different religions different demands). Believe it or not that's INDIA.
One thing more i was having tea a tea stall on 2ND October and suddenly my cell beeped and i got the MSG from one of my friend that "we don't celebrate bhagat singh's birthday but we have national holiday on 2ND of October, this is not done lets oppose it"... just after a couple of moments another person ( around 25-26) on the tea stall said gandhiji was murderer, he let bhagat singh die, if he could have really wished then he could save bhagat singh's life.(sincerely don't know in which school he studied that or in which book he read that ghandhiji never liked Bhagat Singh). Ghandiji
, during his lifetime, always maintained that he was a great admirer of Singh's patriotism. Even Bhagat has said in speeches to his fellow comrades that in next birth he would like to be the son of someone like Ghandhiji.
And after all these incidents i have also started feel strongly about the fact that youth also has started liking controversies, just like in case of Shilpa Shetty and Jade Goody. the whole country was together when that happened (The common statement was Britishers are the biggest racist) but no one even cared about the casteism spread in our country...

NO SOCIETY IS FREE OF EVEILS, NO ONE IS PERFECT BUT WE CAN SINCERELY TRY TO OVERCOME SUCH THINGS AND IN DOING SO LIES THE DEEPEST HAPINESS AND IT IS "TIMELESS"

United Nations honors Gandhi’ ideals – declares Gandhi’s birthday i.e. 02 October as
“International Day of Non-Violence”
A recent poll on university campus across the US put Mahatma Gandhi ahead of political figures anywhere in the world.A Berlin school was renamed after after Mahatma Gandhi on demand of it’s students. A large number of US universities and colleges have of late introduced courses in Gandhism. Gandhi Society at the University of Exeter offers trips to India. All this clearly is evidence of revival of Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals. Gandhi’s ideals of Truth and Non-Violence is as relevant as ever. Let us dedicate ourselves to the path shown by him to maintain peace and harmony in the world today.
.......above blog is same indication of gandhi's rebirth in youth............
